Mental Health Support
We appreciate that competition of any kind, or the discussion of potentially sensitive topics at events, may trigger anxiety or other pre-existing mental health concerns. As a result of this, following each slam, we are offering participants an optional, free 45 minute online aftercare session with our resident BACP-accredited psychotherapist Anna Sinski. Anna will also be available at each slam should participants require any care.
Mind Over Slammer is rooted in active engagement with the communities we passionately serve. Inclusivity is at the core of our ethos. Our artistic team represents a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds. We embrace individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, fostering a more diverse and inclusive artistic landscape.
To foster boundless creativity, we proudly offer travel and accommodation bursaries to regional performers selected to participate in the London finale. Our hope is that these initiatives obliterate barriers and help dreams become achievable realities.
Please see our FAQ Page for more information about how the slams work.
